MistPanda started with a mountain — Mount Qingcheng. Misty, ancient, and birthplace of Taoism. But the more we explored, the more we realized: one mountain was just the beginning.We started this website because there wasn't much English-language travel information about this region. What we could find was either too old, too scattered, or simply didn't exist. So we decided to create it ourselves.

Today, MistPanda is a local team that calls this region home. We've walked every trail, stayed in every temple guesthouse, and talked countless times with local guides, drivers, and tea farmers. We've figured out what works and what doesn't.​For travelers who want to plan their own trip, we provide fact-checked guides. We also offer local guide, driver, and accommodation services — arranging private tours for those who prefer a hassle-free experience.
